The Clay County Fair - an annual extravaganza since 1917, features commercial and competitive exhibits, concerts, food, fund, and much more!

The Parker Historical Society of Clay County collects and preserves Clay County history and heritage in this 1916 arts and crafts period, mission-style house and adjacent Duroe Building.

The Clay County Courthouse, built in 1901 and authentically restored in 1982, stands in its splendor as a monument to the people of Clay County.

Spencer Public Library is accredited by the State Library of Iowa for excellence in services and programming.  The library provides lifelong learning free of charge.  Dewey, the library cat says, "Join us at the library...you'll find so much more than books!"

The Spencer Family YMCA is the place to be for year-round fun.  Our wide range of programs offer something for everyone.  These programs help build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.

Spencer Community Theatre offers quality community theatre for people of all ages year around.  The theatre is housed in a renovated 1920 grocer Warehouse --- therefore the nick-name, "Best Little Warehouse in Spencer".  On the second floor you will find a costume rental shop which serves theatre groups across the nation.

An art gallery with changing exhibitions and a gallery gift shop with original artwork by midwestern artists.  Also offering workshops, performances, poetry readings, films, and special events for children and adults.

The Spencer Area Activity Center provides a daily congregate meal, as well as, comprehensive programming which offers educational, recreational, and social opportunities to area seniors.  Public Bingo every Tuesday and Saturday at 6pm.
