Ambassadors - The Ambassador Club contacts new businesses on their arrival in Spencer to make them feel welcome and a part of the community.

Clay County Fair - An annual, agricultural extravaganza since 1917 that attracts over 300,000 fairgoers from across the United States.  This nine day event features commercial & competitive exhibits, concerts, free entertainment, a carnival & much, much more.

Crazy Days - Retail promotion featuring summer sale items and fun during the month of July.

Flagfest Celebration & Flight Breakfast - Patriotic family festival held in June that includes fun for all ages.  Included in this weekend event is a dance, two-hour parade, antique car cruise, flight show & breakfast.

Grand Meander - Enjoy the spirit of the holiday season strolling though downtown Spencer in December.  The sound of Christmas carols will greet you as you sip hot chocolate and view over 45 "living" windows.

Northwest Amateur Golf Tournament - Largest tournament in the State of Iowa.  Held in August, with entries totaling approximately 385 golfers from 13 states.

Thanks with Franks - An annual August night of fun!  Enjoy downtown Spencer while you eat your way down Grand Avenue.  Over 60 hotdog vendors, root beer floats, and pop will tempt your taste buds and best of all...the hotdogs are free!
