Ambassadors
The Men and Women in
the famous red plaid sport coats welcome new, relocated or expanded businesses
to the community. The Spencer
Ambassadors are also available to participate in Ribbon Cuttings and Ground
Breakings.

Business After Hours
A great networking
opportunity. Monthly gathering of
Chamber members hosted at a Chamber member business or shared with fellow
chamber members. Normally held on
the 4th Tuesday of the month.

Membership Directory
Full Color directory
containing an alphabetical and business directory listing of each member, as
well as, a complete community description.
An online version is also available on the chamber website featuring a
business description and contact information.

Website
The Spencer Chamber has
updated its website to include many additional features with more on the way.
The site lists community events, a full membership directory, community
and tourism information, economic development contacts and links to city and
county agencies.

Coupon Page
Take advantage of
reaching our online visitors by having a coupon published FREE on our Coupon
Page. Coupons are updated weekly.
You can run your discount or promotion for a specified length of time or
on a continual basis. Submit your
coupon in WORD or PDF format.

Chamber member mailing label service
Available to chamber
members only for a small fee of $35.
Saves you valuable time while reaching over 500 members and
representatives.
§
Chamber monthly Mass e-mailing
service (First four sign-ups “Free”)
Allows your business to
send a flyer to all 500+ members at no cost.
Simply supply the chamber office with the flyer in a Word or PDF
format and we’ll take care of the rest.
First four establishments to sign up each month are free with the fifth
and beyond charged just $35. Monthly
Mass e-mails are normally sent the first Wednesday of the month.
There will be a $35 charge for businesses requesting special dates.

Chamber Dollars Program
Chamber $ work like a
check. Businesses purchase the
certificates in any denomination.
Recipient can use them at any Spencer Chamber Member business.
This encourages shopping locally and keeps valuable tax dollars in the
Spencer community.

Newsletter
Each month chamber
members receive electronically our month newsletter “The Bridge”.
In it you will find the latest business news, chamber updates,
legislative happenings, special events and much more.
Advertising opportunities are available.

Business Referrals
Upon the many requests
we receive from outside parties seeking business information, the chamber ALWAYS
refers to and recommends chamber member businesses first.

Research and Statistics
The Chamber staff
maintains statistical community information to aid members in their business
planning. Included are labor surveys, demographics, recruiting information
and much more.

Leadership Development
Work together to accept
leadership responsibilities and enhance our community.
Each year the chamber organizes “Leadership Spencer”, a 10 week course
designed to educate those new to the community or those wishing to learn more
about Spencer and its many opportunities.

Legislative Information
Your voice at the
local, state, and national levels of government.
Members also invited to attend and participate one on one with area
legislators in the chamber sponsored “Eggs and Issues” held during each Iowa
Legislative Session.

The Chamber encourages

Chamber member
directory, community maps, organization lists, brochures and other
information is supplied to the public.
Relocation packets are also available by request of those looking at a
possible move.

contacted thousands of times a year to provide tourism and

The Tourism Committee actively markets our
area to visitors.

With our many
partnerships, the chamber offers many informational seminars and trainings each
year. As a benefit, chamber members
are offered a discount to these timely sessions.

Each year the chamber
organizes many special events which member businesses have the opportunity to
sponsor as a way to promote their business.
Activities such as the Annual Meeting, Ag Outlook, Golf Outing, Bowling
Fun Day, Eggs and Issues and more.

Three banner advertisement spots are available each month for a low fee
to our members. This is a great way
